Allow Me To Introduce Her… October 10, 2007

Filed under: Uncategorized — tam @ 7:01 pm

I’ve been talking about my daughter a lot lately…so I thought I would re-post this video of her from this summer… Enjoy!

Here’s a song Kass, my daughter, and I wrote - “Lead Me On”. She wrote the music then we co-wrote the lyrics. She blesses me! Sorry about the wind chimes in the back ground =o

Loved the video. You both have a gift for music.
I look forward to the DVD. :).

    Is American Idol calling? :).

  2. tam Says:

    You’re too kind Ed!

Kass is extremely gifted. Straight out of the womb this way. It is her destiny, her heritage, a God given gift and talent no doubt.

On top of that - she is a grounded young girl. Wise beyond her young years. We are very proud of her!

We’re putting together a CD of her…we’ll send you one when we’re done :)

    How are you doing?

  3. Ed Says:

I fell blessed. In my case that means blessed by a good 401K account and my pension. :).

I must admit trying to keep up with all the blogs I read is making me stay a tad past my normal bed time.

    I do feel a bit tired, but it’s a good tired. :).

I am felling healthy, wealthy and wise. Well two out of three ain’t bad. :).

  4. Ed Says:

Good grief I must be getting tired I just see I have misspelled feel and feeling as fell and felling in my post above.

I would like to add that music is something I have been able to spend a lot more time with now that I am retired. I think I missed a whole decade or two of singers because I was working all the time.

I now have over 1,000 songs down loaded to my IPod.

Today I found Lori McKenna. In particular I like “Hardly Speaking A Word” and “Fireflies”

  5. Boy & Girl Says:

Wow blown away. She is going to bless so many with her God given talent.

Thank you for sharing that with us Tam!

That really ‘touched’ me. Truly a natural talent. Thank you for (re-) posting it. Did i get it right, Kass is only 13??? You look FAR too young to have a daughter that old! :-)

Would it be asking too much for a copy of the lyrics in text form? I have a feeling the word would speak to me even more clearly that way :-)

  7. tam Says:

Yes Thinker, Kass is 13. I don’t feel like I should have one that old either! But thank you! That was a very nice thing to say :)

I’ll email the lyrics to you now…along with that other thing I haven’t sent yet…I’m a bad friend!

  8. Storie Says:

what a blessing. I popped onto your site tonight and was pleasently inspired by what the 2 of you shared.
Thank you for your obedience in song-writing, which at times is easy, and other times a discipline….your obedience is another’s blessing, and WE have been incredibly blessed. I have some other things to share, but will wait until we are “face-to-face”

Kass- you are totaly awesome, and I know that is Jesus in YOU! I want a CD too!

Tam, you are all in my prayers, and what a blessing you and your daughter are to me!

  10. superman1224 Says:

Wow, you know there are a lot of kids that put themselves on Youtube everyday thinking they can sing and write music. More than half of them are not as talented as your daughter seems to be. That is a really great song. Thanks for sharing that.

I am CERTAIN i speak for everyone here when i say that the only ‘bad’ thing about the person you have become and are still becomming Tam, is your occasional ability to put yourself down.

None of the people here believe you are in any way a bad friend, my friend!

And Brent! now would be a good time to stay silent! ;-)

I’m pretty sure Tam has a firm grasp of humility so we don’t really need to know any home truths - correct?

    You Rock Girl!

and K is kinda Special too :-)

  15. tam Says:

    Ouch Thinker…

    I agree with this…

“And Brent! now would be a good time to stay silent! ”

    HA! ;)

OK…I do let my insecurities raise their ugly little heads from time to time…I AM working on it though.

  17. carrie Says:

I love it. I hope she keeps writing. And I agree with the comment above about the other youtube “songwriters”. They need some real talent over there. Hope others can hear her song because not only is it good, it’s a good message.
