I’m Not Here May 17, 2008

So this week I get an email from a fellow blogger asking if I would be willing to guest post on her blog. Me??? You sure? uuuhhhh. Yah!

Crystal Renaud from Pink Haired Girl is one of those young ladies that is making a huge difference. She’s bold for Christ with a heart big and passionate for His children. When you go to her blog you will recognize quickly she is “others” focused. A breath of fresh air.

And Crystal, because you gave me a deadline I can send them here to read my post.

(good call on the ‘deadline’ thingy)

She’s had a LOT on her mind just lately what with moving and kids being sick and her new ‘regime’ and all… and you KNOW how shy she is!!!

I’m sure she’ll do it for Brent though!

’specially if a little birdie sits on her shoulder and tweets in her cute lil ear ;-)

Cool post, Tam. I’ve also been called for jury duty in June up here in Washington County. The last time I served, I was an alternate on a case where a young dad was accused of permanently injuring his baby son by shaking him. Very difficult and very emotional - it was really hard to come home at the end of the day and NOT talk about it. I’m hoping I get something easier to take this time around.

  18. tam Says:

GMJ - that is horrible! And yes, it is very difficult NOT to talk about it, especially when it is an emotional case like that.

My first jury case lasted 3 weeks and was a medical malpractice suit. A woman was misdiagnosed (terribly) of breast cancer. She ended up dying 2 years later. Very, very hard and sad case. I remember the last night of the trial when it was all over. I held back the tears the whole drive home. I walked in the door and Bretn was walking to meet me…I ran into his arms and wept so hard! I’m tearing up now just thinking about it.

So much heartache and trauma around us. Lord let me not be numb to it!

    you are so amazingly cool.

can I have some of that?

If I could have just a little of that coolness, maybe I can buy my husband paintballs w/o getting carded!
