i like this number

February 23, 2009

this is my 700th post. i was thinking how i always say, “i need to write a post.” write? i’ve actually written in the last month, maybe…10 times.

so i thought it would be fun to think back to the days when we all used to actually hold those sticks with ink inside of them and press them on paper to form some weird design that others seem to understand. once you recall what your penmanship looks like…go here and analyze yourself.

this is me…

If letters slant to the right: Reveals a person who’s outgoing, friendly, impulsive, and emotionally open.

Light pressure: Indicates someone who seems to take life in stride.

Large letters: Sign of a confident, easygoing individual.

Some letters connecting: Means the writer’s personality blends logic and intuition.

A straight beginning stroke: Reveals someone who’s rigid and doesn’t like being told what to do.

um. dang it on that last one.

alright. who are you?

Letters that slant in more than one direction: Indicates versatility and adaptability.
Moderate pressure (the writing is dark, but you can’t feel the rib on the other side of the paper): Shows ability to deal with stress.
Small letters: The hallmark of quiet, introspective types – they’re generally detail-oriented and have good concentration.
Narrow letters: Show someone who’s somewhat shy and inhibited but very self-disciplined.
All letters making contact: The sign of someone who’s highly cautious.
An end mark that curves up: Reveals generosity.

    ::

    crazy how accurate that is.

    Well… 700 is 7 + 0 + 0 which = 7 – and we BOTH know what that number represents! ;-)

    and who!

What? you want ME to do this, Miss i-don’t-like-to-be-told-to-do-anything???

I can’t even begin to diagnose my handwriting. It goes from super duper pretty to downright atrocious. You tell me.

(Crap. There it is right there.)

You know what post I am on :)

My writing changes every day. I am moody with my writing and half the time it’s atrocious and I write like a guy. That makes me? ME!!

~outgoing, friendly, impulsive & emotionally open
    ~ability to deal with stress
    ~someone who’s open and friendly
    ~personality blends logic & intuition
~rigid, doesn’t like being told what to do

yep, that’s pretty much me in a nutshell..

    happy 700

i think its a bit creepy how accurate this is.

melissa – i totally see you as open and friendly too. thats a no brainer ;)

heidi – you are YOU! and i love that… and you!

mandy and alece – two peas in a pod :)

    carrie – no comment :D

love- stop yapping and analyze your handwriting already. sheesh! ;)

  13. February 23, 2009 11:25 am

I don’t write cursive. I always print and make my “a”s and “t”s just like they print out here.

    Wierd huh?

PS: Those Moose droppings were awesome!

700?!?!? Crimenetly, woman!!! That’s a lot of you out there in the world. Thank goodness. I like a lot of you :)

I’m not sure how to do the handwriting analysis, because I have a lot of different handwritings… it has less to do with my mood and more to do with how I want the handwriting to look on certain pieces of stationery or canvas.

Maybe that means I have multiple personalities…

  15. February 23, 2009 12:50 pm

I’ve been out of the loop, really sick. Trying to catch up. Congrats on your great posting. Here’s to 700,000,000,000,000,000 more!

    xoxo,

Like Gitz, I have myriad handwritings depending on the situation…but in general

If letters are straight up and down: The sign of someone who’s ruled by the head, not the heart

Some letters connecting: Means the writer’s personality blends logic and intuition.

Moderate pressure (the writing is dark, but you can’t feel the rib on the other side of the paper): Shows ability to deal with stress.

    Um, yeah, right…maybe…

  17. February 23, 2009 8:02 pm

Clearly i like being told what to do (after an initial attempt at humourous rebellion!) ;-)

If letters are straight up and down: The sign of someone who’s ruled by the head, not the heart.

Light pressure: Indicates someone who seems to take life in stride.

    (Tiny/small – compared to what??? I’ll go with…)
Small letters: The hallmark of quiet, introspective types – they’re generally detail-oriented and have good concentration.

Wide letters (their width and height are about the same): The mark of someone who’s open and friendly.

All letters making contact: The sign of someone who’s highly cautious.

A curved first mark: Shows a person who’s traditional and plays by the rules.

A final stroke straight across: The writer is cautious.

Clearly then, i am cautious: Fools rush in where Angels’ fear to tread.

How accurate did we think this test was again?? ;-)

Tam, mine are nearly identical to yours. I *think* I would say mine are small letters (but for gracious sake, why don’t they have a ‘medium’?!) though, and I would probably have to add narrow. Although they’re not *really* narrow. But otherwise … copy your answers across the board.

No wonder, huh?! It’s all in the handwriting! Who’dathunk?

  19. February 24, 2009 7:44 pm

annie – see, we’re just like twins, arent we? :)

  20. February 24, 2009 8:14 pm

First and last two. Now if we’re talking cursive, that’s a whole other story. I, like Heidi, am moody or rather inconsistent with my writing. Sometimes it depends on the writing implement–if it moves too fast on the paper, then I have elementary school handwriting. If it has just the right weight and resistance to keep me in line, then I have lovely handwriting. Unless I rush.

Now what does this analysis (emphasis on anal) tell you about me?

    Good grief.

  21. February 24, 2009 8:36 pm

joni – that is a loaded question. i aint goin near it either.
    :D

  22. February 24, 2009 9:06 pm

    :D

  23. February 25, 2009 6:38 pm

    Tam,

I posted my results on my blog with a sample of my handwriting. Our answers were, I think, identical. I’d be interested in seeing how similar our handwriting is. (hint)

  24. February 25, 2009 7:04 pm

ahhhh – hmmm, then i should post of pic of my handwriting???

    yes ma’am ;)
