starting to decompress. kinda.
its been one week since brent and i returned from nashville and southern california. im mostly happy to be home. but if im being honest…i love my nashville and so. ca. friends. and i miss them so very much!
last year when we went to the recreate conference it took awhile for us to decompress. processing all the information and experiences there is a challenging thing to do. its not bad…its just so multi sensory and unlike any conference we’ve ever attended. its the only one we’ll attend now, in fact.
so, having said that, this post is dedicated to a few pics and special moments in nashville. the deep personal, emotional and spiritual information will come later when i can wrap my head around it all
this is what it looked like in nashville when we landed. so beautiful! we were on our way to pete and brandi wilsons house. this is the 2nd year we’ve stayed with them. fortunately, the first half of our time there, pete was gone
dangit…im being honest in this post, arent i? shootdarn. ok, i was bummed the lil guy wasnt there. i…….missedhim
the wilson boys, jett, gage and brewer, video chatting with our kids, kass & kota.
brewer and gage. seriously, i wanted to kidnap these boys. just look at them! we had just finished making pete some special valentines. no, i didnt personally make pete a valentine. i decided i’d be nice
i love this boy! i will make an oregon duck fan out of jett some day! he and kota texted back and forth during the superbowl game. a part of their conversation is below. jett is in the green bubble. he’s got great ear spelling. and we loved how kota knew exactly what jett was saying!
coming up on wednesday…gage and i bake molasses cookies. and i share the recipe here!
(and this is as mom-blog as you will ever see at inProgress)

having you all stay was an honor. i’m already counting down to february 2011!
goshdarn, i miss you, woman!
Decompressing, that’s such a word isn’t it.
I wonder somedays if God really knew when He created us all the sensory and emotions we would have to go through ” to wrap our heads around” haha..
I can’t wait to hear the God moments. I know there were some… tons!
Love ya sis!
as soon as i can get the words out…i’ll post them.
love you, sis.
Loved getting to hang out with you and Brent a little tiny bit. I wish we’d had more time (a lot more time.) But I love that we have so many ways to stay connected. It makes Oregon feel not so far away.
come. to. oregon.
NOW!!!
OK I’ll admit it….I kinda miss you.
you love me. you reeeally love me.
ok. i might be pushing it there.
as you were….
