okay…the whole ‘using randompicker’ idea is probably gon’ be dangerous.
Was this a thematic suggestion?
ha! no. i cheated.
oooo i love this!
hmmm… if you could be any [letter in the alphabet] / [book in the bible] / [person from history] / [song from the 60s, 70s, or 80s]…. what would it be and why?
I can’t wait to read your posts this week – yayness!!
hmmm.
okay. I got one.
The Power of Story. (seems to fit in well with Easter…right?)
It’s strange you’re going thematical this week. I’m doing that same sort of thing on my blog this week.
I really can’t put a name on my theme, so I’ll just say it is a series of posts born of out a particular experience.
As for suggestions for you:
If you’re like me at all (that’s a scary thought…) you probably have particular songs that have special meanings to you. Maybe you could pick a song for every day and talk about how that particular song speaks to you (being the musically inclined person you are, shouldn’t be too difficult)
How you deal with disappointment in your life. How the bible says to handle it, how to overcome.
El Chubacabra. Now go. Write!
what the?
translation?
Well… if you watched Monster Quest you would know that the Texan version is a hairless, blood-sucking dog with mange…
I learned about El Chubacabra from X-Files.
The Chupacabra or Chupacabras (pronunciation: /tʃupa’kabɾa/, from the Spanish words chupar, meaning “to suck”, and cabra, meaning “goat”; literally “goat sucker”), also called El Chupacabras in Spanish, is a legendary cryptid rumored to inhabit parts of the Americas. It is associated more recently with sightings of an allegedly unknown animal in Puerto Rico (where these sightings were first reported), Mexico, and the United States, especially in the latter’s Latin American communities.[1] The name comes from the animal’s reported habit of attacking and drinking the blood of livestock, especially goats. Physical descriptions of the creature vary. Eyewitness sightings have been claimed as early as 1990 in Puerto Rico, and have since been reported as far north as Maine, and as far south as Chile. It is supposedly a heavy creature, the size of a small bear, with a row of spines reaching from the neck to the base of the tail. Biologists and wildlife management officials view the Chupacabra as a contemporary legend.[2]
oooh…ya write about that. we had our youth freaking out when we were in mexico!
Hmmm… how about the incredibly romantic, or unromantic, journey of your family becoming what it is today.
Starting with why and how you and Brent met/ dated/ married.
Taking us through the birth of your sweet children. Your reactions. The whole process of parenthood. Joys, struggles, significant events of your married life, etc.
Top of my head….
How did the 80′s change your life?
Hmm,
Not goin easy on ya Tam. Explain your faith, where you got it, How you keep it. How can you use it to spread God’s word. Not trying to make you sweat, but seriously interested.
Needs more fish.
I’m just saying…
um.
Balancing ministry and motherhood and being a wife. You seem to have a handle on that;):) love your site!
If I was mean, I’d pick a topic like “best kinds of deodorant.”
And since I’m mean, I’ll REALLY put into the mix “The four things that at the time seemed like the worst moments of my life…but I later learned were great things…and here’s why!”
Your most favorite memory of Brent, Kass, Kota….. and your biggest desire for them in their lives as well.
I have several themes:
1) Seeing as you are “in progress” what are you progressing towards? When you’re done do they stick a fork in you?
2) Cake.
3) What song(s) do you sing when no-one is there to hear you?
4) Which planet other than our own are you most curious about and why?
5) Health care.
6) Open toed sandals and how they’ve influenced your life to date.
I like Debs’ theme actually.

Girl, where are you every Monday when I am relying on commenters for my A 2 Z posts??? Seriously. I’m seriously serious. Where are you?!?!?! Seriously.
[Can you tell next week is X? And we don't have a lot of ideas?]
Gitz: you pose a great question, one for which I hope to have a great answer post easter. Post easter I will enjoy regular Monday’s off… And, post easter, I will hopefully enjoy more moments of blog reading. But, today, dear friend, I was obviously sucked into Tam’s need (being the codependent that I am) and I managed to neglect your X.
Xanadu
X-rays

your favorite pastime growing up
what you want Kass & Kota to be/do when they grow up
what you DON’T want K&K to be/do when they grow up
if you only knew then what you know now
what you love about your church
your favorite things about Brent
What ifs… (ie: What if you never married Brent. What if you never started blogging. What if you don’t write this book. What if you …)
your ideal toenail polish color (yes – write about this for multiple days)
Make a wish (well, make three wishes, or however many wishes it takes to fill up your days of this week)
i wont even know what to do if youre picked. do i take one topic or break them all up to even out and write about every one of them.
oh, decision, decisions.
and *I* get to make them.
Oh man. I’ve got a few favorites, and I HOPE one will be “randomly” picked!
Wow, are there any themes that Mandy DIDN’T suggest?
I like @dubdynomite’s suggestion of songs that mean something to you!
oh. my. good. grief.
Confessions…
How about predicting what the world will be like in 5 years
Hi I just wanted to say that i’ve been really inspired by your courage to write about your life and mistakes that have been made but also the encouragement that God is in your life and how you are responding to his amazing love.
I love that your commentors are not only filled with love and support for you and your family but also for those that might post contradictory and downright mean things about you.
You are all a blessing!
Cheers from Australia!
