Do you have a special ring tone on your phone? Some favorite song from your past? Maybe different rings for family members, spouse, friends?

I revealed my ring tone on our live chat last night. It is Brick House by The Commodores. Not that I think I am “My-Tay, My-Tay” or I am “Lettin it all hang out!” or that this “Lady’s stacked”. No. I just love that song. It makes this white girl feel like she’s got rhythm. It’s a feel good song!

Hide And Seek - Please Find Me June 17, 2008

I never got all the way to 100. I always cheated. I knew my friends could hide in 10 seconds. Why drag it on any longer than needed.

I loved playing Hide & Seek. I didn’t much care for being “it”, but it was only fair that each of us took our turn.

The real thrill was in the hiding. The exhilaration. The rapid heart beat. The giggles. Knowing they were getting closer and closer to discovering you as they would call out your name. Yet…you never said a word.

But secretly, you wanted to be found.

And when you were spotted…a rush of relief flooded over you as you screamed with nervous excitement.

Do you remember?

Half the fun was being found.

We all want to feel needed. To feel purposed. Pursued.

In The Name Of Love June 16, 2008

It’s not my favorite place. Actually, it’s my least favorite place in this town I live. Besides the town itself. The Sportsman’s Warehouse.

But, because I love my husband I will attend with him donning my plastic smile and phony “oooohhh wow!”s. I will also quickly attempt to find something entertaining to do.

So, on our last trip to Testosterone Palace I ventured upstairs and found all the Tent Displays.

A-MAZ-ING!!!

Small tents, big tents, 4 room tents, all decked out with cots, cooking wear, side tables and even showers that’s my kind of camping - ohyoubetcha!

I found a suitable tent display, less fancy - more my style, and sat right on down to talk to Miss Mandy pants on my cell while Brent ran on without me in full fledged man of the mountain freedom!

It’s a Win/Win!

There was a little talk last week here in the comment section about putting together a Bloggers Retreat. Hmmm….

Creepy Crawlys! June 15, 2008

I have a phobia of all things creepy and crawly. This covers all spiders, insects and some people

Monday morning both our lovely kiddos go to camp. Kota goes as a camper. And Kass goes as part of the Worship Team.

All the little children will meet at the church to sign in then board the bus. BUT. One thing must pass inspection before they are given the free-pass to go. They must pass…

Lice Inspection!

And guess who gets to check those little greasy heads for lice? Uh-huh. ME!!!

I’m already itching, squirming and heebie-geebie’n about it
