Meet-n-Greet – Deux

March 3, 2008

Yay! Thanks for playing along everyone! I think our first “Meet-n-Greet” went rather well. If you’re just joining us go here to catch up πŸ˜€

So here’s my next round of questions…

Are you outgoing, or reserved, and do you wish you could change that?

When are you most happiest?

    I’ll let someone else answer first this time.

    Oh wait…I am first πŸ™‚

  2. March 3, 2008 8:15 pm

    I am very outgoing, I tried being withdrawn and shy when I was a teenager and that didn’t work out so well. πŸ™‚

    I certainly have character flaws, but these flaws are as much a part of me as my many assets. πŸ™‚ I am not sure I could have one without the other.

    I am happy so much of the time it is hard to pick one moment. πŸ™‚

    Watching the sun rise over the ocean at dawn.

    Spending the day at the Musuem of Modern Art in New York City getting lost in the imagination expressed in the paintings of artist like Salvador Dali, Rene Margitte and Edward Hopper and Auguste Rodin’s “Monument to Balzac” in the Sculpture Garden.

    Watching the swans, ducks and loons in the water at the West Haven Beach. Watching other “birds” in their bikinis on the board-walk. πŸ™‚

    It is much easier to try and think of when I was unhappy. Last week sharing a house with six cats. πŸ™‚

  3. March 3, 2008 8:24 pm

    I should have added this last Christmas at my nieces house watching the wonder in the eyes of her baby daughter staring at her first Christmas tree.

  4. March 3, 2008 8:48 pm

    I would have say I’m fencing it on the reserved and outgoing. Just depends.

    I am most happiest driving with the volume blaring and singing along to a great worship song. I should probably going to have to start searching for hearing aids now.

  5. March 3, 2008 9:15 pm

    Howdy! I am very outgoing and no I wouldn’t change it…too many people would go into shock….

    I am happiest when I’m in my Jeep, roof off, worship music blaring on a mountain road singing praises at the top of my lungs……ahhhhh summers a comin!

    Missed round #1…
    Am I outgoing? Yes, somewhat. But I am, at the core, an introvert. People would not characterize me as shy, but I still have to have time alone to recharge.

    With that in mind…. am happiest when with my family after I’ve had a chance to recharge. Even better if this is on a Sunday evening.

  7. March 3, 2008 10:05 pm

    Are you outgoing, or reserved, and do you wish you could change that?

    Outgoing and hecks to the no, I don’t want to change it. I used to be shy as a kid and hindsight always being 20/20, it S.U.C.K.E.D..

    Outgoing and engaging and sharing my testimony with anybody within an earshot (6’5, 250lb Texan so that is about a mile or so), it is all smiles and loves.

    When are you most happiest? I am going to be honest. Giving glory to God. (Because I used to live a life not giving Him any praise and that sucked.) When I get to do things like pray for the sick, visit hospitals, counsel, love, care, be responsible for others spiritual growth, encourage, discern, teach, etc..

    All that while my son is with me.

  8. March 3, 2008 10:13 pm

    Are you outgoing or reserved, and do you wish you could change that?
    I’d say reserved, I’m being blended a bit though. So I think I’m good were I’m at for now anyway. How was that for wishy-washy?

    When are you most happiest?
    When I’m worshiping the Lord. Whether it be in prayer or song.

  9. March 4, 2008 4:39 am

    What’s reserved ?? When am I happiest? When I first wake-up and get rid of that gas I have had all bottled up all night! Oh that first 45 seconds – ahhhhhh! Sorry I wasn’t more spiritual – I just woke up.

    1. Outgoing. Very outgoing. OUT. GO. ING. nuff said.
    Would I change? I can’t – I tried… didn’t work.

    When I’m most happiest?
    1. Seeing God moving – in my life or in other people’s lives.
    2. Watching my baby boy walk (just turned 10 months)
    3. Seeing my blog stats go up…. lol (ok, that was deliberate… lol)

  11. March 4, 2008 5:22 am

    i teeter on the fence between outgoing and reserved… depends on what time of the month it is! ha!!

    when am i most happy? when hanging out with people that REALLY know me and really love me…

    Hi Tam, I would say that I am most an extrovert, though that has been different through different times in my life, or even in different times of the day!

    Most happy would be in the mornings when no one else is awake and I am delving into the Word and spending some time with God.

  13. March 4, 2008 6:08 am

    I’m the life of the party.. haha

    When my family is around, I have a guitar in hand, and my MBP is next to me, life is good. πŸ™‚

  14. March 4, 2008 7:14 am

    Reserved or Outgoing… hmmm…

    I guess if I were outgoing, I would have answered by now. There are changes in me taking place. Whether or not I want these changes does not appear to matter. I like camping in the mountains with my bride so I can be alone. So I’m pretty outgoing about being reserved.

    I am happiest when I am:
    playing trains with my grandsons;
    making (cookies, a pile of leaves, magic crystals) with my granddaughter;
    eating dinner with any of my family;
    alone with my journal in the den;
    at home;
    alone on stage;
    in Patti’s arms;
    eating dessert;

  15. March 4, 2008 7:33 am

    I think I am most definitely more reserved, but I have times when I am more outgoing as well. It tends to go with what is happening around me. I don’t think I would change that.

    I am happiest when I am with family and friends just hanging out. I also enjoy a good game (sports wise).

  16. March 4, 2008 9:42 am

    1. Depends on the situation…I would say farely outgoing…at least that’s what my Myers-Briggs told me.
    2. I am most happies on days off when I get to go to the beach or the river with the family…if i close my eyes I forget that I am swimming in the polluted waters of Lake Eerie and not the pristine pacific of Hawaii.

  17. March 4, 2008 11:21 am

    1) I think a little of both depending on the situation.
    My dominant side is outgoing though. I don’t wish to change that…I like me just the way I am. ( A little stuart smalley on ya)

    2) Multiple answers:
    When I get to see my son’s smile and hear his giggle.
    When I’ve had a good night’s sleep.
    When I’m hearing the ocean roar and I’m digging my toes in the sand.
    When I get a hug from my hubbie.
    When I smell my son’s hair.
    When I get paid a huge check and can pay bills.
    When God taps on my heart and tells me He loves me (daily).
    I could keep going…but I won’t.

  18. March 4, 2008 12:14 pm

    I’m really kind of a split between the two. When I’m feeling comfortable, I can be pretty outgoing. But I also definitely have my shy times. In general, I’d say I love people, but I do best when I can focus on just one or two people–or a small group–at a time rather than trying to mingle with everyone. There are times when I hate my shy streak … and other times when I wish my outgoing side would just shut up! πŸ˜‰ I kind of have the best and worst of both worlds, I’d say. πŸ˜‰

  19. March 4, 2008 2:09 pm

    I too am a little of both. I used to be really really shy but feel like I’ve grown out of that. I would rather be with someone one on one than in a group setting.
    I am most happiest when I’m with my family. I’m also happy each morning when I wake, that God has given me a new day, a new start.
    This is really cool….fun to get to know everyone. Thanks for doing this.

    Hello everyone,
    Ok, I am new to the blogging stuff and wonder how do you guys ever leave your computers?? This is so fun. I think most people would say I am outgoing but I feel too reserved a lot of the time. Especially working with Christy Rich πŸ™‚ SHE is outgoing! I am the happiest when I can feel God’s presence. That happens most intently when I am pouring my heart out to Him, by myself, but I also love being with His people and talking about Him. Pretty much anything to do with Him makes me happiest. πŸ™‚

  21. March 4, 2008 5:15 pm

    Tawny, glad you’ve started blogging. What’s your address so we can visit your blog?

  22. March 4, 2008 5:17 pm

    Hey Tawny, welcome aboard! Have fun with this, we do! Blessings to ya! πŸ™‚

    I just answered round 1…so i’m moving to the next round!….I am more reserved. And yes, i do wish i were more out outgoing. I become more outgoing as you get to know me though, and as i get older i try to be more concious of being reserved and work harder at being outgoing.

  24. March 4, 2008 7:42 pm

    I’m outgoing and reserved.

    Im a little bit of a lot of things actually.

    I am probably more outgoing than reserved and sometimes wish I was more reserved than outgoing.

    Hmmmm, outgoing or reserved? I think I am somewhere inbetween. I love my friends and meeting new people, but I need my alone time to recharge, rest and unwind!

    I am happiest when I am walking in the Lord’s will and fully surrendered to HIM!

  26. March 4, 2008 9:42 pm

    Are you outgoing, or reserved, and do you wish you could change that?
    I am outgoing mostly but occasionally can be reserved. That seems to be a theme here with most of us. It just really depends on the situation. But I am 90% of the time very outgoing…i think? and 10% of the time indecisive???

    When are you most happiest?
    When I am reading about God, in the quiet with a vanilla mocha in hand. Honestly πŸ˜€

  27. March 4, 2008 9:43 pm

    hey tam you there?? I’m on my email….

  28. March 4, 2008 9:45 pm

    i am!

  29. March 5, 2008 4:13 am

    I am mostly reserved, but tend to feel more outgoing when I am in a “safe” enviornment. I am the most happy when I am around those whom I love.
    Usually Sundays afternoon, after being back home from church just hanging out at home!

  30. March 5, 2008 2:42 pm

    I’m reserved with outgoing tendencies.

    I’m happiest when I’m playing my guitar or spending time with my family.

  31. March 5, 2008 3:31 pm

    Are you outgoing, or reserved?

    – Is there a third choice? My profession makes me a “people person”, but I’d otherwise say I’m reserved. I tend to stay at the fringe of crowds and observe. You can learn so much from people by watching them.

    Do you wish you could change that?

    – Nah. Although the ‘outgoing’ (read: brutally honest) me often gets me in trouble. (I just call it like I see it…)

    When are you most happiest?

    – When I’m asleep. During consciousness, I’d say morning coffee with the “rib”. I also enjoy the heck out of family dinner.
    Dang – you said most, so I have to pick just one…well, I can’t!

  32. March 5, 2008 3:48 pm

    I am very reserved in new settings, but after feeling out the surroundings I am quite outgoing. I love people and I talk too much! πŸ˜‰

    I don’t want to change that, mostly because it what i do well!

    I am most happiest after sitting in the woods looking over any body of water, and reflecting on how far God has brought me. I really am crazy about HIM, and any time spent with HIM gives me a contagious smile

  33. March 5, 2008 9:42 pm

    I used to be reserved, but forced myself to become outgoing and now I’d say most people would consider me outgoing; however I am reserved when I’m in a new or uncertain setting. An exception to that is – if I’m in a new setting and I sense someone else is uncomfortable or in need of a friend, I try to help them feel accepted.

    I’m happiest when I am with people I love.

  34. March 5, 2008 9:55 pm

    Are you outgoing, or reserved, and do you wish you could change that?

    UM HELLO?!?! Have you met me? Yes, yes you have. πŸ˜‰ haha! For anyone who hasn’t, I am outgoing most of the time. I love people. People people people I am a people person. BUUUUUT, I do have my reserved moments. At home I am very reserved. Quiet I would say. It’s odd.

    When are you most happiest?
    When I am with my kids. I am also quite stressed and tired then, but I would SO rather be with them than not. Today they were gone all day and half the day I was sad and missed them. The other half I realized I should use that time to get something done, so I cleaned and then thought “wow, I get a lot done when they aren’t here!” haha! πŸ˜†
    Also, when just Jake and I hang out. Minus all kids. We always have fun together when it’s just us.

  35. March 6, 2008 9:37 am

    I have a an excuse for this one that I will start with.

    I am the baby of the family however my closest sibling is 7 years older than me so the birth order theory starts over again. So I am part first born, part only child, and part baby. I am whatever I am at that time…mutiple personality syndrome! πŸ™‚

  36. March 6, 2008 10:04 am

    Okay, I guess I am going to commit to answering all your questions. πŸ˜€

    I am definately OUTGOING.

    I wouldn’t change it…it took me a long time to be truely comfortable being so outgoing.

  37. March 7, 2008 8:10 am

    depending on my mood, really. reserved until i get to know someone, then just crazy.
    happiest is when i’m in bed with all the creatures i love, knitting and talking about our day.
    or when i’m at home alone with nothing to do, no chores, or when i’m out weeding the yard, the sun, the earth, the birds and my puppy.
    ahhhh, i can not wait until summer!!!!
