twas the day after…

December 26, 2008

twas the day after Christmas and all through the house

not a creature was stirring, they were all wiped out

the stockings were empty, the hearth was bare

the tree was so lonely, no presents to share…

the family, like lunatics, will brave the crowds

the kids with their Christmas money will shout outloud

“lets go here, no lets go there” – will likely be their cries

and mom will do her very best not to lose her mind!

yah. thats all i got. im wiped.

was thinking you all could add to this poem with your own after Christmas thoughts…

    And there was nothing formal
    Life had returned to normal
    After all the Christmas lore
It’s nice to know life is a bore
So I’m going to sleep soon
Don’t you DARE wake me up at noon
If you do, they’ll be heck to pay
I’ll make you miserable all day!!!

papa slept in until 9:30 in the morn
with mama right next to his chubby old form.

Papa finally decided to get up and take a look
And see what Jesus had to say in his precious Holy Book

As mama and papa started a new day that had morning fog
They decided to take a quick peek at all of the blogs

First there was Brandy and then Darla too
But most of all we couldn’t forget you!

Now mama and papa are going to pray
That you will put Jesus first as you begin your new day.

How quickly the return of the chores
Santa should have taken them, they are really quite a bore!
I’d rather be laughing with Tam at Dutch bros,
then getting ready to go to Scotts mothers.
Trina, how quickly she wants my car,
“no one else can drive, don’t go far”.
Life has returned to its regular self
everyone wants something from me-back to my shelf!
The boyyyyy wants more video time, he bids…
Christmas is over, I have dang kids! (Love them tho)

@B I think that is cheating…and you should take the girl, and she should take the boy, and she will be home before you! If we lived near you..Trina could take the girl, and you could take the boy, and Tam could hang with me πŸ™‚ now that is a good idea!

Probably by the time that all happens, you will be begging us to move to another location..LOL no can do my friend no can do..

Oh yea..HUBS really must stop making lattes with double shots, with his new expresso maching..hahaha

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS EVERYONE!!! I hear the echo..talking to myself..thinking of a new rhyme…

I slept in while Hubs played host.
They’re his parents — they love him most!

A quiet breakfast for me with a bit of blogging —
He had to take his parents shopping!!!

They returned from the hunt and said their goodbyes
We walked them to the car, no tears in our eyes.

All around it went well, a nice visit — no crap!
Now Hubs can settle down for his long winter’s nap.
