Life is What it is

January 17, 2009

i got to help mandy tweak one of her new songs this week, that you all loved… then, she asked me to sing backup for her so she could post it in her 100 songs/year challenge:

I used to think that I was superhuman
Could do anything if I put MY mind TO it
Then life came along and kinda had to ruin …
It all

We all have a story
and it’s all been told before

This life is what it is
This life is what it is
The ups and the downs
The hits and the misses
This is life…
Life is what it is.

Some people believe their glass is half empty
They’re others who know they’ve been given plenty
But we’re not livin… if we’re not drinkin
It all

Chorus
This life is what we make of it
This life is what we take from it
The ups and the downs
The hits and the misses
This is life… life is life
This is life & life is what it is.

WOW!! That was beautiful!! Mandy, really, must you go back home… back to your husband?? Is it really necessary?? 🙂 I so enjoyed listening to you last weekend during worship, and then again during this song – you have a gorgeous voice – and you & Tam sound great together!! Hope we here in Southern Oregon (more specifically, TRF) are blessed by you again soon!
