I didn’t write anything this week.

    Or last.

In fact, I’ve just had posts of things or something going up cause I scheduled them in, like, January.

    Or something.

But I think I might maybe sort of have something soon.

    Or not.

White stuff in your hair.. ha. I have some gray…. at least in the bits that haven’t left. 🙂

You didn’t mention if there was any money in the wallet. And I have no idea what geocaching means.

It has been a crazy couple weeks for me, with everything coming to clarity yesterday.

Post title by the way: The ways of the world fail to heal a broken heart.

Solomon in Ecclesiastes mentioned time after time that he tested the things “under the sun” and they proved to be vanity of vanities.

When we finally get around to looking above the sun we begin to see the thing we need all along.

I think you would love R.C. Sproul’s book titled “The Holiness of God”. He talks about the justice, non-justice, and mercy of God.

Bit of a quiet week down here.

But I think, of all weeks, this is a good one for me to think the worship confessional was the best.

So it might take seconds, or even minutes for me to get over the guilt of not choosing my son’s 2nd-birthday-post from yesterday…but since today is MY birthday – I’m gonna go with me! 🙂

“It’s my birthday, and I’ll pimp if I want to.”

Ahhh.. you got me. I was thinking you had some type of ‘physical genetic’ malady. Great way to bring the message of Grace!

    Simple Surrender

    • April 10, 2009 12:52 pm

Love the photograph…. did you take it? Loved the post as well.. we struggle with that surrender.. kinda like a child that doesn’t want to go to sleep. 🙂

My son got bitten by a tick and as small as it was it reminded me of appreciating the blessings. Here is the post.

    • April 10, 2009 12:50 pm

Ticks.. nasty vermin. They like to crawl up in your hair and bite ya!! Even in the small or weird things in life, God has big lessons for us. By the way.. I found an old blog friend on your site. Tawny used to visit my old blog from time-to-time. That was a cool thing.

      • April 10, 2009 2:49 pm

tony – tawny and samantha are personal friends of mine. we all attend the same church. sams hubs is the creative arts pastor and mine is the worship pastor. tawny is the womens ministry leader. small world, eh? 😉

I only had 2 options this week. Here’s my reaction to Nick Adenhart’s death:

    • April 10, 2009 12:44 pm

That was very touching. You writing style is so easy to follow as well… like I was sitting there as you told me about this tragic event.

  17. April 10, 2009 12:15 pm

I didn’t realize how wordy some of my posts were until I went back and looked at them.. ouch. I would struggle with reading them.

So here is one that is shorter and closer to who I am.
