my fort’s better than yours!
sometime today i saw someone (sorry “someone”…i cant remember who you are…) put up a twitpic, on twitter, of a fort.
well aint that a great opening sentence 😀
anyways – it got me thinking…i LOVED building forts when i was a kid. and ya know…we have a lot of kids around these parts. like, you! yah…im talking about you guys. and lets face it, we’re all just a bunch of big kids here.
so…im thinking we should have a fort making contest. yes? yes!

heres how it’ll work…
build your fort inside your house.
all the items must be from the inside of your house and be reusable.
no purchasing items just for the fort.
involve your family!
post pics, or vid, of your fort on monday – april 27th. you can either post about it on your blog or just tell us here in the comments. either way…make sure you leave a link to your amazing fort creation here!

Why, no! It would not be an igloo, Tam! It would be a snow fort! Of course, I was the best snow fort builder anywhere so maybe everyone should just stick with the household stuff. Because going against the best snow-fort builder would be snow fair! After all, there is snow way anyone would ever beat me in a snow fort contest! Heck, I’m TheNorEaster! I could make my own snow! Ya ksnow?

oh mylanta. you make me laugh so much!!! i have no kids (if we’re excluding the only two “adults” around), so is it weird that the challenge to build a fort creates some very serious excitement in this little girl’s mind?

Aren’t the best forts just two chairs and a blanket?!?! 🙂 Since I can’t move my chairs I won’t be making one, but I was a great fort builder in my day…

HaHa, I had a similar thought as gitz about posting old photos from when my son was young and building forts around the house. My family might just think I’ve gone completely nutty if they see me building a fort around here. I’ll give it some consideration though since it’s difficult to pass up a contest opportunity.
Fort eh…..might have to get into this one. my 6 year old will love it…
can it be outside since we are getting ready to do such anyway? I am recycling old fort parts and swing sets to create a new fort/ playhouse this weekend…does it count?
