pimp my post – duck(less)

September 3, 2009

pimp your post, yo! ( i think i secretly wanta be hip. i love saying “yo” )

you know what to do… leave a link to your favorite post that youve written. we dont wanta miss it!

ok. i just watched the most disappointing college football game. im an Oregon Ducks fan. like, a big duck fan. they played boise state tonight. boise??? and the ducks lost. wha? they never showed up! their new coach doesnt seem to have any control over these guys. to top it off, at the end of the game one of the ducks, Blount, punched a boise player and took him out. this would have never happened under mike bellotti.

for those of you who are lost… im sorry. i just needed to vent.

are you a football fan? college? pro? who’s your team?

Well, I’m from Indiana and it is a VAST understatement saying the Hoosiers STINK! Always have! So, I don’t do college football.
Love me some Pittsburgh Steelers though!! Super Bowl #7 is on the way!

Not much writing on this post and I had a few bumps in the road, trying to make this video, but it will do and summarizes the past 10 days or so for our family.

    you make-a me laugh tamalot!!!!

like i explained to one of my former professors last night: i love watching football, but i never follow it. i’m a local loyal, so if dallas is playing or UT or the houston texans, i cheer for them. also i cheer for the ten. titans, since they used to be the oilers. and if nobody “local” is playing, i just pick a team for whatever reason. sometimes, i go for who everyone else in the room is going for, unless i’m feeling feisty (which i’m sure is HARDLY ever), i’ll go for the one every one else is rooting against.

    i am simply complex.

also, i fail at blog-world lately. but here’s my one for today.

    i’m playing “would you rather”

I don’t really use “yo” to be hip. But I do love saying “true dat.” I don’t know why. I’m not really hip. At all.

Anyway, I wrote a real mushy post this week about my sweet little girl: http://www.givinguponperfect.com/2009/09/someday.html

I’m an any team from GA kinda college football fan. University of Georgia Bulldogs, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Georgia Southern Eagles, Valdosta State Blazers, etc. I went to GA Southern so I REALLY enjoy going to those games.

Pro: Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears (but since I started playing fantasy football about 5 years ago I’m more of a fan of the NFL overall than just one team. I pull for individual players each year).

Post pimpage….YO! A song for worship I finished up this week (written earlier this year): http://russhutto.com/2009/09/50-songs-redeemer/

This guy was in the heat of battle with his adrenaline flowing a thousand miles an hour…this stuff happens, especially with competitors…will leave this up to the coaches.

did you see that blount is out for the season? i think that was the right decision. it seems he still is a part of all the practices and such but is not allowed to play.

  11. September 4, 2009 9:29 am

i love football… any football… but i gravitate more toward the pro games. there’s something about the sound of football in the background, whether you’re watching or not, that just makes all seem right with the world πŸ™‚

my fav. post is about collecting kindness [i only had 2 to choose from :)]: http://gitzengirl.blogspot.com/2009/08/collecting-moments.html

I always root for the Pac10 but I can tell ya that Blount totally put a bad mark on Oregon last night….what an idiot. I hope he is removed from the program and NCAA Football.

And NOOOO Tam, you have to remain a Duck’s fan. No Beavers. (OK, someone is going to say something super inappropriate I can just sense it) And this is coming from a WSU Coug. Even though the uniforms are really ugly, Ducks are the team in Oregon.

“OK, someone is going to say something super inappropriate I can just sense it)”

trust me. its already been said 😯

but, no, im still a duck fan. always will be. theyll get it together!

I went to school at the University of Florida and worked there for 10 years afterwards, going to games every year. I am a Florida Gator fan, and oh my, it’s going to be a goooood year. πŸ™‚
