heaven and earth

December 10, 2009

this video was sent to brent by our friend, fellow musician on the team, founder of musicians friend and pilot. brent has been fortunate to take flight with Al and now brent has the itch to get his pilots license. oy.

this video is 11 minutes long and worth every one of them. there were moments when i was in tears. moments of speechlessness. i dont know what was more moving to me…the scenery or the commentary.

it will leave you in awe…

and dont forget to pimp your post πŸ˜‰

    That video is flippin’ awesome.

So, you guys know one of the founder’s of Musician’s Friend? I’d like to meet him some time so that he can thank me in person for doing my part to keep him in business (seriously, I’ve spent a lot of money there. A LOT.)

    And my post:

You know, that just wouldn’t have been the same without the commentary. We see these photos all the time of space, but sometimes I can forget the awe of it all. Seriously gave me chills… he made me feel like we were right there with him.

I love that guy, anyway. He guest stars on Bones every once in a while and there’s just something about his stature and accent that draws you in.

Here’s my post: http://gitzengirl.blogspot.com/2009/12/im-irish-wheres-my-luck.html It won’t inspire awe, but it will make you scratch your head in wonder. πŸ™‚

That was some awesome video Tam. Aside from my fear of heights I think I could be a great pilot. πŸ™‚

My blog post today is a video interview with US army specialist Brendan Marrocco, who lost all four limbs in combat in Iraq, as he learns to use his prosthetic arms and legs.

That was AWESOME…. my mouth was open the WHOLE TIME….

  12. December 13, 2009 4:37 pm

Did I hear the pilot say “God-smacked?”

    Wow.

    • December 13, 2009 10:10 pm

i think so. either that or “gobsmacked”…

      gobsmacked

      adjective
      utterly astounded

although…i think God smacked would be much more fitting.

I used to have my pilot’s license, and it was an absolute blast! My dad and I got them when I was in high school. I’d like to renew mine someday when I have time. Unfortunately, I’ll only help to encourage the bug, not quash it. πŸ™‚
