I am kinda in the same boat with Darla. In my own opinion – that is tricky. I am thinking of the things in my life that others might view as accomplishments and I am shaking my head saying, “Were it not for the grace of God… none of this would be.” So along with my Father God I wold say that my greatest accomplishment is landing the most wonderful man in the world as a husband.

I lead a womens bible study weekly. I greet every Sunday night at my church. I serve in outreach projects (including a big one today). My husband and I deliver meals (he’s a chef).

Not that i had any more of a struggle than your average college student, but i think it’s impressive that i made it 4 years living in TN away from home, passed my classes, and didn’t like run out of money or something. Now looking back it was the best 4 years of my life thus far!

i think raising kids is a huge ministry. i am a vocalist on our worship team and get to serve there every week (it is my highlight!) I also serve as a sounding board to countless women overcoming their pasts, typically abortions.

Tam, I’m glad you posted your answers, too! That’s awesome you write songs! If you have any resources for where I could read stories of what women have battled after having an abortion I would really appreciate it. I don’t know if you have any sites or anything. It would really help. I have been collaborating a lot with this group of incredible women in my hood on some social justice issues (we just put on a Save Darfur benefit!). They are all very liberal. That means we agree on a lot, like loving people, but not on things like abortion. They do a lot with Planned Parenthood. I feel like we might have “that” convo sometime and I’d really like to have some stories to prepare my heart with in case we do.
And just to clarify: not to argue with them, to be sure. Just so I don’t have to awkwardly avoid the subject and also be able to give a heartfelt answer from a women’s perspective more than I normally could (since it’s basically a women’s rights issue for them). Then at least they’d know that my reasons are love and not because I want to oppress women.

-Italy.

-Probably the fact that I still have my job, and I excel at it. That’s a pretty big deal, because my job isn’t exactly easy.

This is hard. Maybe that I built a worship ministry from nothing and we now have multiple worship leaders and several teams. Maybe that I’ve stayed at the same church 10 years because it’s been tempting to run and hide at times. Maybe just raising three kids!
